The Eufora Stylist of the Year competition returns to Global Connection 2022,
with seven categories to spark your creative genius!
2022 CONTEST CATEGORIES
So, if you have that award-winning itch, then pick your poison, choose your muse, and design your dream! Stylists can enter in one or more categories. Finalists and winners are chosen by an objective third party panel of judges made up of well-known industry-leading professionals.
Winners will be announced and prizes awarded live, on stage, at the Gala Awards Celebration, April 4, 2022.
PAST ENTRIES GALLERY
- Eufora National Trainers are excluded from the competition.
- Each model may only appear once per category. For each category entered, please submit a total of (3) photos with exception of Color Vision which requires a total of (6) photos; (3) before shots and (3) after shots.
- Only Eufora, Eufora HERO for Men™ and EuforaColor™ products can be used.
- Wigs are not allowed (with the exception of the Color Vision category), but hair pieces are acceptable.
- Entries are judged by an outside panel of industry leaders using a designated point system. All information is kept anonymous and confidential.
- Minimal retouching is acceptable, raw images must also be submitted.
- All images must be shot vertically and submitted in high-resolution, 3000x3900 pixels / 300 dpi JPG format.
- Each Image must be labeled as follows: SOYA2022_(category abreviation)_(first initial)_(last name)_(image number).jpg
* Each submission must include: Model, Photographer, Make Up Artist, Wardrobe stylist release form.

"The entrant, photographer, make‐up artist and models, hereby grant Eufora International and all its subsidiaries respective rights, titles and interests in the enclosed submission, including all applicable copyright rights. We further grant Eufora International permission to reproduce any of our submitted images in any way they deem reasonable. We understand that all images submitted become the property of Eufora International without payment of any compensation thereof and without restriction as to date, location or manner of Eufora International’s use. We grant Eufora International the right to use, edit and modify any submitted images as Eufora International determines in their discretion is appropriate in support of Eufora International, including advertising, promotions, or publicity associated with Eufora International and their products. We understand that we still retain rights to use these images to promote our work. However, by participating in the competition, we cannot use the images in any advertising or promotion until after April 4, 2022. By hereby entering this competition, we waive the right to make any claims against the judges of the competition. We understand that the decision of the judges is final. We further agree to abide by all contest rules issued now and hereafter."
SUBMIT A TOTAL OF 3 IMAGES, 1 PER MODEL. Create looks that showcase bold, abstract, experimental concepts in expressive, cutting edge wearable hair design. Not “fantasy” – example: hair you could wear to a progressive event, art opening, or NYC nightclub. Minor retouching and digital enhancement is allowed, however do not overdo it to the point of the look blending into fantasy. Female Models Only.
SUBMIT A TOTAL OF 3 IMAGES, 1 PER MODEL. Create fashion forward contemporary commercial styles utilizing classic cutting, styling and finishing techniques that are designed to complement the individuality of each model. Example: Take a cool Bob and put a contemporary twist on it (undercut Bob). It’s how you finish it. Female or Male Models.
SUBMIT A TOTAL OF 3 IMAGES, 1 PER MODEL. (If same model is used must present 3 unique hairstyles)
Create wearable, finished looks incorporating (but not limited to) brush work, braids, and updos demonstrating technical skill and cohesiveness.
SUBMIT A TOTAL OF 3 IMAGES, 1 PER MODEL. Create contemporary men's looks on three different models demonstrating technical skill and cohesiveness of the overall look including facial hair.
SUBMIT A TOTAL OF 3 IMAGES, 1 PER MODEL. Create contemporary, Make-Over or Avant-Garde looks on three different models demonstrating technical skill and cohesiveness of the overall look including make-up. Each team can consist of up to (3) stylists and (3) make-up artists. The rules for the above categories apply for Team Collaboration.
SUBMIT A TOTAL OF 6 IMAGES, 1 BEFORE AND 1 AFTER PER MODEL. Create contemporary, Avant-Garde looks on three different models demonstrating technical color skill and cohesiveness of the overall look. Only entries using Eufora Color ™ or Aloe Lite™ will be accepted. Wigs are permitted for this category. Please complete additional form information for Color Vision entries. (Three Different Models/Three Different Images/Female or Male Models.)
SUBMIT A TOTAL OF 3 IMAGES, 1 PER MODEL. Create contemporary, or Avant-Garde looks on three different models demonstrating technical skill and cohesiveness of the overall look. (Three Different Models/Three Different Images/Female or Male Models.) The rules for the above categories apply for New Talent category. New Talent is defined as a stylist who has been licensed 3 years or less. A copy of the original State Board License must be submitted with the entry and will not be returned. Your original license date will be verified with your State Board of Cosmetology or other governing body.
